Bryan asked why it was logically important for him to learn about geography, or moreso specifically about Brazil? I replied that I did not have to defend the logic of it. The only thing that was important was that his father and I think that geography is important. So it is what he needed to learn. He continued that just because he and I are biologically related, that in itself, does not trump logic? I replied that his father and I both only want him to him to succeed in life so we seek to guide him in the things that serve his best interest; whatever that may be. Our best estimation, therefore, is all he needs to know. Our word suffices. It wholly, completely, entirely suffices.

My plan of teaching Bryan some housekeeping skills this summer is working.  He has a housekeeping job daily.  Today he vacuumed the family room. I am so fortunate to have such a great helper.
